The new turn out of events following the release of Amnesty international's report on human rights violations by the Nigerian military has left to the rise of some questions that requires answers.
- Why is the Nigerian army and the presidency describing the report as being malicious, fictitious and lacking credibility?
- Does their reaction point to the fact that they (Nigerian army and the government) do not care about the welfare of Nigerians in IDP camps? We al know that a caring and concerned government would prefer to launch an investigation to determine if the rape allegations in IDP camps are true rather than dismiss the report as being misleading.
- How come Amnesty international, an organization saddled with the task of revealing instances of human rights violations and crimes against humanity is suddenly being accused of plotting to destabilize Nigeria and promote terrorism? (See the picture below)
- Who is behind this protest? the Nigerian Army or the Presidency?
- Why organize a protest with the sole aim of discrediting Amnesty international?
- Why are Nigerians being hired to become protesters to suppress an organization for reporting on cases of human rights violations in IDP camps?
From what we've gathered on social media, we deduced that the protest was sponsored by some group of persons who do not want Amnesty international to expose the gory details of the violation of human rights happening in IDP camps.
We arrived at the conclusion that the protest was sponsored based on a footage obtained from social media showing the protesters struggling to collect the money they were promised after the protest.
See the video below:
I found a way to corroborate my tweets above about the Nigerian army renting a crowd to discredit Amnesty international. Here is a video of the rented protesters struggling to collect N500 for a job well done. You might say its fake, dat its a random video, read d next tweet👇👇 pic.twitter.com/qE0TJ5P6mh— Kindly-Follow-Back (@Naijadailyfeed) May 24, 2018
We were also able to clarify that the people in the video were the same people found at the protest carrying placards and banners.
See proof below:
Do we agree that truly the rights of Nigerians in IDP camps are indeed being violated?Continuation, i had to be sure its the video of the rented protesters before posting it by spotting some few details. Below is a picture of a lady wearing a purple dress with brown/gold designs holding a banner, she can be seen towards the end of the video in the same dress. pic.twitter.com/GHv9GTiko4— Kindly-Follow-Back (@Naijadailyfeed) May 24, 2018
